As you grow older, time starts to pass by faster and faster. Looking back at all the moments wasted, not reaching for what I would hold true later in life, I often ponder if I could only turn back time. But would I want to go back and relive it all again? No, for each error I have made has crafted who I am today. Sure, some choices would have made life easier, but by altering those choices, many aspects of my present would cease to exist. Therefore, I harbor no regrets, only love for the life that I have lived.
As we approach Mother’s Day, I am thankful for my children, even if it is not always perfect. They are my life force, and without them, I would never be okay. I am grateful for the man I love and wish he had come into my life sooner, but had he, would we have been ready for each other in that moment?
It is my belief that sometimes it takes great mistakes in our lives to find happiness. It is through trial and error that great achievements come. Just like the old saying goes, “if you fall off the horse, get back up and do it again.”
I have always said that the rearview mirror in your car is smaller than the windshield because if you keep looking back, you’re going to crash. So keep your eyes open to the future, never stop striving for a better you, and refrain from dwelling on past mistakes. Move forward with each new step, seeking to improve your life.
Live your life to its fullest and allow no drama to steal your joy, for there truly are no redos.
