Palestinian students shot in Vermont

Two Palestinian American students were shot and wounded by a gunman who allegedly waited for and targeted them outside their apartment in Burlington, Vermont. The students said they expected to be shot in the West Bank, not the U.S. The suspect, who was arrested, has been charged with attempted murder and a hate crime¹.

Trump faces defamation trial

Colon cancer kills more young adults

Colon cancer is killing more younger men and women than ever, according to a new report from the American Cancer Society. The report found that the death rate from colon cancer among adults aged 20 to 49 increased by 1.3% per year from 2008 to 2017. The report also identified the earliest symptoms of colon cancer in young adults, such as changes in bowel habits, abdominal pain, and blood in the stool

Scientists at Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) achieved a major milestone in the field of nuclear fusion, as they sustained a nuclear fusion reaction for 30 seconds, at temperatures exceeding 100 million°C – nearly seven times hotter than the core of the sun. Nuclear fusion, which mimics the process that powers the sun and the stars, is seen as a potential source of clean and unlimited energy for the future⁵.
